WPClientHub vs. ManageWP

The free, GoDaddy-backed dashboard most agencies have already tried. Owned by GoDaddy.

The honest verdict

ManageWP is the right call for an agency that wants a genuinely free, unlimited-site dashboard for the basics and does not mind assembling backups, security and reporting from per-site add-ons as it grows — especially one already hosting with GoDaddy.

Where ManageWP genuinely wins

  • An agency that only needs the free-tier basics (updates, safe mode, a monthly cloud backup, basic checks) on an unlimited number of sites — genuinely $0, with no 3-site cap the way our Free tier has.
  • A GoDaddy-hosted shop that wants one login across hosting and site management.
  • A client base where you’d only ever turn on one or two of the paid add-ons per site (say, just uptime) rather than the full stack — cherry-picking single add-ons at $1.25–$2.75/site can undercut us for a client that genuinely doesn’t need the rest.

Every WPClientHub row here is live today and priced on our pricing page — nothing on this list is a roadmap item. Competitor rows are sourced to ManageWP’s own pricing page and public documentation; where we couldn’t verify a capability, we say so instead of guessing.

A full year, using each vendor’s own published rate for the closest like-for-like feature set. The green cell wins at that site count — neither column wins at every row, and that’s the point.

Switching

What moving from ManageWP actually involves

  1. Run both in parallel. Install our connector plugin alongside ManageWP — nothing about connecting a site requires removing your existing tool first, and you can keep it running for as long as you want a second opinion.
  2. Connect each site. Paste a one-time pairing code from the WPClientHub dashboard; that mints a per-site key pair and starts scoring the site within a minute. No WordPress passwords are stored.
  3. Backups start fresh, on purpose. We don’t import ManageWP’s historical backup archives — your first WPClientHub restore point is taken on the client’s own server as soon as the site connects, and whatever ManageWP already stored stays exactly where it is, untouched.
  4. Recreate schedules and routes by hand. Report schedules, client contacts and notification routes are a one-time setup cost we won’t pretend away — there’s no automatic import for those yet.
  5. Cut over on your own clock. Once every site is connected and you’ve seen a clean scan, cancel or downgrade ManageWP whenever you’re ready. There’s no forced cutover date.

ManageWP’s own cloud backups stay exactly where they are — we don’t import them, and you don’t need to delete them before or after connecting a site to us.
